How to excel viewer
- Tap “Open Excel file” and choose a spreadsheet — or open it with the installed PDFCart app.
- Switch sheets with the tabs at the bottom; click any cell to see its formula.
- Tap “Convert to PDF” to print or share it as a PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Can I open an Excel file without Excel?
Yes. PDFCart shows .xlsx workbooks and CSV files in your browser on any computer or phone, with every sheet, bold headers, colors and merged cells.
Are my spreadsheets uploaded?
No. The file is read and displayed on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.
Can PDFCart be the default app for Excel and CSV files?
Yes, with Chrome or Edge. Install PDFCart, right-click an .xlsx or .csv file → Open with → Choose another app → PDFCart, and tick “Always”. Spreadsheets then show the green PDFCart “xls” icon.
Does it show formulas?
It shows each cell's result, like Excel, and the formula of the selected cell in the bar above the grid. Formulas aren't recalculated — values are as last saved in Excel.
What about old .xls files?
Excel 97–2003 files (.xls) can't be read in a browser. Convert them with Excel to PDF, or save them as .xlsx.
